PARKER -- City Council members will consider increasing the amount of purchasing power city departments have, without council approval, up to $25,000 during Tuesday night’s meeting.
Any purchases of commodities, like fuel, of more than $15,000 currently have to go before council members for approval. An amendment being read for the first time during tonight’s Parker Council meeting changes that figure to $25,000.
Excluded by the rate increase are professional services contracts, which are required to go before the council for a vote. But council members will be taking a look at those contracts as well. City contracts for professional services between the city and other organizations for employee health insurance, legal services, audits and engineering are set to be considered and possibly bid out to less-expensive service providers.
The city also will hear a financial report from March and consider an exception request for a sewer connection at
Council members will convene at 5:30 p.m. in
