FDOT to work on two highways

CHIPLEY -- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced possible traffic delays due to two road projects.

In Holmes County, intermittent lane closures will begin Monday on U.S. 90 between the CSX Railroad and the Choctawhatchee River. This is part of a $1.5 million construction contract to resurface 6.5 miles of U.S. 90 in Holmes County. Work is anticipated to be completed summer 2014. One travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times.

In Walton County, night time lane closures will take place on U.S. 98 in Inlet Beach Monday through Thursday. Crews will work to complete installing an eastbound left turn lane into Inlet Beach Commons. The inside east and westbound lanes will be closed between Orange Street and U.S. 98 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
