North Bay closed to oyster harvesting

SOUTHPORT -- The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is temporarily closing area of 1012 of North Bay for the harvest of oysters, clams and mussels as of sunset Saturday. Closings are based on water samples.

In this context, “shellfish” does not include scallops, shrimp or crabs.
