LYNN HAVEN – Lynn Haven City Commission will hear an ordinance to expand golf cart use 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 825 Ohio Ave.

The ordinance will expand the use of golf carts from East State 77 to just north of County 389, covering most of the downtown area.

“It’s just a few blocks,” City Manager Joel Schubert said. “It fits in with the intention of the ordinance.”

The commission also will consider three bids for road paving. Schubert said it is city policy to pave certain roads within the confines of the city budget every year. The sections the city will pave are:

-East 17th Street from Illinois to Iowa Avenue

-East 17th Street from Wyoming to 100 feet west of Colorado Avenue

-Tennessee Avenue from West Fifth to West Sixth Street

-Tennessee Avenue from Seventh to 11th Street

-East 10th Street from Ohio to Pennsylvania Avenue

-East 10th Street from Pennsylvania to Illinois Avenue

-Colorado Street from 12th to 14th Street

Also, a first reading of street light spacing for the Shoreline Village and a discussion of Suncom Network Services contract for telephone services are on the agenda.
