PARKER — Two items are on the Parker City Council’s agenda Tuesday.
The first is an ordinance to allow code enforcement officer Deena Brannon to write parking tickets instead of that duty falling to Parker Police. Mayor Rich Musgrave said parking violations will be treated like other code enforcement complaints, with the officer being reactionary.
“We’re not going to be ‘Meter-maid Rosie’ and go out and seek that stuff,” Musgrave said.
There also will be a presentation by Banyon Pelham of TJ’s Network Consulting on security cameras. Musgrave said 19 cameras recently were installed on city property, with six in Parker Environmental Exploration Park, some by the football field and four going to the baseball fields.
Musgrave also expects Pelham to talk about putting in several more cameras in City Hall. He said the primary purpose would be to watch customers coming in.
Musgrave does not expect a real proposal on the extra cameras until the next council meeting, July 1, at the earliest.
The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 1001 W. Park St.
