PANAMA CITY – The Panama City Commission will consider a bid for $850,820 for the Lisenby Regional Storm water facility at its meeting at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The bid is from L&R Contracting, which had the lowest of 12 bids.

The stormwater facility is to be located behind K-Mart east of Lisenby Avenue and north of 13th Street.

The commission also will hear an ordinance prohibiting burning materials of any type within the city limits. The ordinance would not prohibit the use of charcoal grills and the use of commercially manufactured fire pits. Fire Chief Alexander Baird or his designee will have the ability to issue a permit.

There is an item in the consent agenda placing two police vehicles, a utility trailer, five Motorola radios and one speed laser into surplus property. The police department requested the change because all of the items are broken. The vehicles have accumulated over 120,000 miles and need transmission repair.
