Years in business: I’ve been in the business for more than 20 years. I’ve been the owner and primary diver of Clean Hull Diving Services for the past four years.
How did you get into this business? I’ve been a USN deep sea diver since 1989 when I attended Coronado U.S. Naval Dive School. I’m very proud my USN service, which included contribution to our strategic nuclear triad that put an end to the Cold War. Performing underwater maintenance on submarines at our Trident Refit Facility on St. Mary’s River is where I initially gained my black water diving experience. With all the rain we’ve had lately, I regularly find myself back under boats with very limited visibility.
What do you like most about your business? I’ve met quite a few captains with character over the years. I find meeting and working for boat captains with character inspirational. Continuously building character through life’s adventure and the people we meet happens to be my favorite art. I’m working on a masterpiece. I have always loved being in the water. We happen to have some of the most beautiful water in the world right here in Panama City, so I wouldn’t be anywhere else.
