PANAMA CITY -- Gov. Rick Scott will visit Panama City next week to attend the Governor’s Veterans Service Award ceremony, according to a release from the Office of Legislative Affairs.
The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs will host the event from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on July 3 at the Hiram Sperry Armory, 3121 Lisenby Ave. In addition to Scott, Veterans’ Affairs representatives will be on hand with information and resources to help connect vets to services, resources and employment opportunities.
The event is open to the public, and veterans are urged to RSVP at www.floridavets.org. Registration will begin at 1 p.m., and business casual is the recommended attire.
