PARKER -- About 20,000 gallons of untreated sewage overflowed into a creek that empties into Lake Martin, after a line ruptured at a lift station on Bob Little Road between North Lakewood Drive and South Lakewood Drive in Parker.

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County advises against swimming in Lake Martin between Cherry Street and Business 98 until further notice.

Sewage contamination of water can expose bathers to intestinal viruses, bacteria and parasites.

Questions should be directed to the Florida Department of Health in Bay County at 872-4455 ext. 1268.
