Dante’s Pizza opening at Panama City Mall

PANAMA CITY -- A new, family-owned pizzeria is opening in the Panama City Mall next week.

Dante’s Pizza, a business first started in 1986, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the mall Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m. The community is invited to attend the celebration and enjoy some free samples of menu items, which include pizza by the slice, whole pizzas made to order, pasta and calzones.

Store owner Osvaldo “Ozzie” Clemente said the pizzeria represents years of hard work and dedication after his family immigrated to U.S. in search of the American Dream. Clemente’s father opened the original Dante’s at the Wiregrass Commons Mall in Dothan, Ala. 28 years ago.
