Resurfacing begins Monday on State 22

WEWAHITCHKA -- Resurfacing work on State 22 between the Bay County line and the Wetappo Creek Bridge in Gulf County will begin Monday, the Florida Department of Transportation said Thursday.

Drivers can expect alternating daytime lane closures in the north and southbound lanes.

The project also includes minor drainage improvements, new guardrail, signage and pavement markings. Construction is anticipated to be complete winter 2014 on this $1.5 million construction contract.
