FSU PC faculty member Polick named FABA president

PANAMA CITY - FSU Panama City psychology faculty member Amy Polick was recently named president of the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis (FABA) at the state conference in Bonita Springs.

Polick, who is the program director of the FSU Early Childhood Autism Program, said as president she will continue to raise awareness about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and its applications for individuals with a variety of behavioral needs across Florida. She previously served as president-elect of FABA.

In her new role, Polick, a board certified behavior analyst for 10 years, will promote the field of ABA across the state and assist with legislative needs in Tallahassee as they arise.

FABA was founded in 1980 to promote the ethical, humane and effective application of behavior analysis treatment. The organization is open to university and college faculty, as well as researchers and practitioners of behavior analysis and other areas such as psychiatry, psychology, education and social work.
