A scoring mistake and subsequent technical error resulted in publishing the incorrect winner for Week 5 of the Beat The Experts football pick-em contest. After correcting the mistake, Panama City’s Robert Abernathy was declared the winner with the only 10-0 mark for the week.
Abernathy won a free oil change courtesy of EJ’s Auto World for his effort. He also will receive a commemorative Beat The Experts T-shirt for the win.
Ken Holman was originally declared the winner with a 9-1 mark after earning the tiebreaker. Holman remained 9-1, but wasn't in the revised Top 5. New contestants also winning T-shirts are Delbert Miller, Nick Wells, Jimmy Stanford and Cliff Preston.
