PANAMA CITY — One man is in custody and the Panama City Police Department is searching for another believed to be involved in a Tuesday afternoon shooting.
The suspect was apprehended near the Nelson Building on Balboa Avenue. Police were searching the nearby Royal Arms Garden Apartments for a second individual before expanding the search. The Bay County Schools District Board meeting was shortened due to the increased police acivity.
A shooting was reported on Kraft Avenue, as a teen suffered a gun-shot wound to the head.
A helicopter aided in the search for the second man. It hovered near Jinks Middle School on 11th Street at around 2:30 p.m. before moving towards St. Andrews.
