SANTA ROSA BEACH — Santa Rosa Beach brewery Grayton Beer Company recently introduced its new seasonal beer, a pumpkin-spiced ale donning the name “Gourdgeous,” to retailers and bars in the area.
With 5.4 percent alcohol by volume, the ale was crafted using 300 pounds of fresh pumpkin pulp added to the brewery’s classic ale base, as well as fresh ginger, coriander, allspice and cinnamon.
The beer is now available in select bars and restaurants, and also in 22-oz. bottles in locations that sell the brewery’s other selections, which include Amber Ale, Belgian White, Pale Ale and the 30A Beach Blonde Ale.
The rollout of Gourdgeous also marks Grayton’s first “artist series” — a label-feature for local artists, with Grayton brewer Tyler White responsible for crafting the beer’s label artwork. Grayton has dedicated a portion of proceeds to art-based initiatives throughout the Panhandle.
