VERNON — The Vernon City Council met in a called session Tuesday, Dec. 2, with personnel matters topping the agenda.
Chief among discussion was the resignation of City Clerk Carnette “Keith” Adkison, who tendered his two week’s notice Monday.
Adkison said he will continue to service the residents of Vernon in his new capacity as director of the Washington County Clerk of Court’s finance department.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here in Vernon and look forward to serving all of Washington County in my new post,” Adkison said.
Adkison’s last day with the City of Vernon is Friday, Dec. 12.
