LYNN HAVEN — The Lynn Haven City Commission will consider several large expenditures at its meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

A source of frustration for Lynn Haven residents, the commission will consider a task order of $40,000 with Panhandle Engineering for work on the 17th Street ditch. The commission had previously discussed filling the ditch with box culverts.

Also up for consideration is the purchase of a new sanitation truck and rescue/service truck for the fire department. And the fire department is asking to submit a grant through the Federal Emergency Management Agency for tablets for their trucks. Similarly the police department is asking for a approval of a Justice Assistance Grant for a nighttime thermal imaging camera.

In other business, the commission will consider:

-The replacement of cast iron water lines at a cost of $26,000, also proposed by Panhandle Engineering.

-The final reading of an ordinance that would change its policy but keep the hours for Lynn Haven’s alcohol-selling establishments the same during Spring Break.

-The final reading of an ordinance annexing Emerald Coast Fellowship into the city.

-The first reading of an ordinance relinquishing rights to a city right of way to D&H Properties. D&H has been working on an apartment complex near the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
