PANAMA CITY -- Qualifying substitute teachers could receive quarterly bonuses if the School Board approves a recommendation Tuesday.
Superintendent Bill Husfelt will request approval for a $146,394 substitute teacher bonus program at Tuesday’s Bay District School Board meeting. Substitutes pay per hour ranges from $9.26 to $10.
Substitutes that work more than 100 hours will get $150 and more than 150 hours will receive $250 bonuses per nine-week period. Only one bonus can be earned per nine weeks.
The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. at the school district headquarters, 1311 Balboa Ave., in the Nelson Building.
