LYNN HAVEN — Resurfacing plans for Lynn Haven’s most traveled road will be available to the public today.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting regarding the upcoming resurfacing project for State 77 from U.S. 231 in Panama City to the Bailey Bridge in Lynn Haven.

The 5-mile-long resurfacing project is expected to cost about $4.75 million. The meeting is scheduled for from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Tom P. Haney Technical Center Cafeteria, 3016 State 77.

In addition to resurfacing, FDOT plans to remove and replace sidewalks, replace curbs and gutters and install new signage. Work is slated to begin February and end in the fall.

Maps, drawings, and other information will be displayed at the public meeting. There will be no formal presentation. FDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and explain improvements.

FDOT also plans a resurfacing project south of U.S. 231 along State 77 to U.S. Business 98 in Panama City. The nearly 2-mile portion of the project is expected to cost about $2.6 million. Completion is expected in 2015.
