TALLAHASSEE — Florida State football supporters can shake hands with star quarterback Jameis Winston and receive commemorative posters as part of a rescheduled national title celebration.

The revamped event will take place at Doak Campbell Stadium starting at 11 a.m. CST on Feb. 1 with gates opening an hour earlier. The celebration and parking are free to the public.

Seminole Village on Langford Green will open at 8 a.m. and includes the first of a few additions to the revelry. Fans will be able to have their picture taken with the Coaches’ Trophy given to FSU for its 34-31 defeat of Auburn in the BCS National Championship Game in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 6. This is the only opportunity to see the trophy, as the Moore Athletic Center will be closed.

The Albert J. Dunlap Athletic Training Center, the Seminoles’ multi-million dollar indoor complex, will be open for tours from 8-10 a.m. Turf taken from road wins against Florida, Duke in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship Game and Auburn from the Rose Bowl will be on display before being buried in the team’s Sod Cemetery.

Fans will be allowed on the field after the formal program for a player meet and greet. They are asked to refrain from asking for autographs. There will be 20,000 posters given out for free after the celebration, which is expected to wrap up by 1 p.m.

Attendees are asked to enter the stadium through gates B, C, D, F, G or X on the south side near the Unconquered statue. Normal security procedures will be in place, including bag size limits of 6X12X12.

The original celebration was slated for Jan. 18 without the additional festivities, but the school rescheduled to include the Seminoles’ draft-eligible players who were preparing for all-star games and combines at the time.
