LYNN HAVEN -- Project Linus will sponsor Make a Blanket Day at Jim’s Vacuum and Sewing Center, 715 State 77 in Lynn Haven, to collect blankets for seriously ill or traumatized children.

Blankets can be dropped off at Jim’s Vacuum and Sewing Center until Feb. 8. Blankets may sewn, knitted, crocheted, tied or knotted fleece in child-friendly patterns.

Blankets of wool, upholstery fabric, corduroy, vinyl, polyester, double knit or with holiday themes cannot be accepted. Project Linus also requests that blankets come from smoke-free environments only.

Each blanket donated will put the donor’s name in a drawing for a free sewing machine.

For more information call Marianne Britton, Bay County coordinator, at 271-2478 or email Blankets4Kids@hotmail.com.
