Moe’s coming to PCB

PANAMA CITY BEACH -- Panama City Beach will get a dose of Alabama-style barbeque in March with the opening of Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que on Front Beach Road, just east of Pier Park.

The 2,000 square-foot fast-casual restaurant will seat about 50 people and offer barbecue plates with made-from-scratch sides, beer and wine, to-go packs and full-service catering.

“While we know we're in a key location for spring breakers, we want families and children to always feel welcome,” said co-owner Ryan Helsley, who is opening the store with business partners Will Casanova and Trace Armstrong. “We plan to be a year-round business and want to be a favorite spot for the locals.”

Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que was founded in Vail, Colo. in 2001 by Mike Fernandez, Ben Gilbert and Jeff Kennedy, after they learned the art of smoking meats in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

There currently are 28 Moe’s locations nationwide.
