Four appointed to college board of trustees

PANAMA CITY - The Board of Trustees at Gulf Coast State College has four new appointments.

Governor Rick Scott announced Friday the appointments of Don Crisp, Elizabeth Kirvin, Steve Millaway and the reappointment of David Warriner to the Board of Trustees, a GCSC news release stated.
The appointments replaced Denise Butler, Dan Estes and Karen Durden.

Crisp, 71, of Panama City Beach, is the vice president of First American Title Insurance and previously served on the GCSC Foundation, the release stated. His term ends May 31, 2017.

Kirvin, 42, of Apalachicola, is the assistant principal of Apalachicola Bay Charter School and has served on the board of Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida, the release stated. Her term ends May 31, 2016.

Millaway, 57, of Panama City Beach, is a self-employed electrical engineer. He has served on the advisory group for the GCSC Advanced Technology Center, the release stated. His term ends May 31, 2017.

Warriner, 48, of Port St. Joe, is the owner and president of Tapper & Co. He served as a legislative assistant with the state House of Representatives and senate, the release stated. His term ends May 31, 2017.

The appointments are pending confirmation by the state senate, the release stated.
