Southwest Airlines will temporarily cease direct service from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) to Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) this fall.
Direct flights to Baltimore will not be available between Aug. 9 and Nov. 11 as part of a “seasonal adjustment,” ECP Director Parker McClellan confirmed Monday. Travelers still will be able to reach BWI on Southwest by connecting in Nashville, Tenn., or Houston.
Southwest will begin its seasonal, daily flight from ECP to St. Louis on Monday.
McClellan said Southwest evaluates flights every month and makes changes based on market demand.
