GAINESVILLE — Those closed practice gates are coming open for Florida football fans this spring.
In a reversal of his past policy to close practices, Florida coach Will Muschamp announced Tuesday that nine of the Gators’ 15 spring practices, including the spring game, will be open to the public.
Florida’s first spring practice on March 19 will be open, along with six others leading up to the April 12 Orange and Blue Debut in The Swamp at 12:30 p.m. CDT.
The open practices are in addition to the season ticket holders’ exclusive opportunity to attend a yet-to-be-announced practice during the upcoming season.
Here are the spring practices that are open to the public:
March 19 (Wednesday)
March 21 (Friday)
March 22 (Saturday)
March 24 (Monday)
March 26 (Wednesday)
March 31 (Monday)
April 2 (Wednesday)
April 11 (Friday)
April 12 (Orange and Blue Debut)
Students, Gator Boosters, Alumni Association members and F Club members all receive free admission to the spring game. A limited supply of free tickets also is available at Florida Farm Bureau agents’ offices. Tickets are available for $5 in the Gator ticket office at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium or can be ordered online at GatorZone.com/tickets.
