PANAMA CITY BEACH -- Panama City Beach has been named a top trending destination for this year based on a list compiled by FlipKey.com, the vacation rental site of leading travel company TripAdvisor.
The destination came in seventh out of the 10 locations featured on FlipKey’s Top Trending Destinations for 2014 list, which was compiled based on traveler requests and inquiries.
Overall, the list shows that warm-weather beach destinations are where travelers are headed on vacation.
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil came in at number one, followed by several Florida destinations including Miami Beach, Orlando, Naples and Key West. Also on the list were Honolulu and Kihei, Hawaii and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
