The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is temporarily closing four areas — #1212 East Bay Section 1, #1222 East Bay Section 2, #1012 North Bay Western and #0822 West Bay — for the harvest of oysters, clams and mussels. The areas closed at sunset Monday. Closings are based on water samples.
In this context, “shellfish” does not include scallops, shrimp or crabs.
