Man dies after balcony incident on Panama City Beach

PANAMA CITY BEACH — A Texas man was killed Wednesday after he fell or jumped from a balcony at a Panama City Beach resort, police said.

Thomas H. Saunders, 62, of Southlake, near Dallas-Fort Worth, died about 9:30 a.m. after falling or jumping from a balcony at the Holiday Innn at 11127 Front Beach Road, according to a Panama City Beach Police news release.

Police are investigating the manner of Saunders' death, but they don't suspect foul play. The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy, the release said.

PANAMA CITY BEACH — A man was killed about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday after he fell or jumped from a balcony at a Panama City Beach resort, police said.

Panama City Beach Police Chief Drew Whitman said the person was not a spring breaker, but he could not provide details on age. He said police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death, such as whether the man fell or jumped from a balcony at the resort, the Holiday Inn at 11127 Front Beach Road.

Police did not say how fall the man fell or jumped from the balcony, which faces Front Beach Road.
