PANAMA CITY — Time is winding down to register to vote in Municipal Super Tuesday elections April 22.
Any new registrations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Monday, Supervisor of Elections Mark Andersen said Saturday.
Voter registration applications must be dropped off or mailed to the Bay County Supervisor of Elections Office, 830 W. 11th St. Applications may be completed online, however, they must be printed, signed and delivered or postmarked — not emailed or faxed — to the elections office by the deadline.
To check your registration, go to bayvotes.org and click “Registration Status,” or use your smartphone to download a voter registration app at the elections website.
The Supervisor of Elections also is looking for elections workers to do functions throughout elections. Pay ranges between $110 to $200 dollars per day, depending on position. The office sent out a notice earlier in the month asking for people to apply for the paid positions.
“We’re getting there,” Andersen said, “but we always need some on hand.”
Early voting runs April 14 -18, the week prior to Election Day.
Elections will be held in Callaway, Mexico Beach and Panama City Beach. The following candidates will be on the ballot:
Callaway
Mayor: Thomas Abbott (incumbent), Janene Melvin
Ward I: Dennis Delapp (incumbent), Melba Covey
Ward III: John Malone, Bob Pelletier
Mexico Beach
Group 2: Mary Blackburn, Gary Woodham
Group 4: Tom Bailey, Tanya Castro (incumbent)
Group 5: Bill McGlothlin, Jeff Tendler
Panama City Beach
Ward 3: Skip Alford, Josie Strange (incumbent).
