PANAMA CITY -- The League of Women Voters of Bay County announced a new leadership team, headed by local attorney Cecile Scoon, who will serve as president.
Mechelle Grady and Nancy Jones-Gaglio also have joined the LWV Bay County leadership, as treasurer and secretary, respectively. The group plans to focus on encouraging all potential voters to not only exercise their right to vote but to inform themselves on issues and the platforms of those running for office.
The League of Women Voters of Bay County is one of 31 local Leagues active throughout the state of Florida. Membership is open to men and women of all ages. For more information about the League in Florida, including how to join, visit TheFloridaVoter.org.
