CHIPLEY -- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting concerning proposed improvements on State 77 from north of the Wausau city limits to County 276 in Washington County.

The intent of the project is to widen 3.6 miles of the existing roadway from two to four lanes, design new parallel bridges at Hard Labor Creek and Flat Creek, improve drainage, and construct various safety upgrades. The project is funded for right-of-way acquisition and construction.
Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. There will be no formal presentation. Representatives from FDOT will be available to explain proposed improvements and answer questions.
