PANAMA CITY -- A faculty member has been appointed as Florida State University Panama City’s new associate dean.
Gary Bliss, a 12-year business administration faculty member on the campus, will serve as associate dean to interim dean Steve Leach, an FSU Panama City news release stated Friday.
He will be filling the position left open by Leach, the former associate dean who became interim dean following the resignation of the campus’s former dean.
Bliss will continue teaching while transitioning to his new role, the release states.
Bliss coordinates the business administration and accounting programs. He has served as the chairman of the FSU Panama City merit and promotion committee and as a curriculum committee member for the College of Applied Studies, the release states.
Also, he has participated in the university’s international program, teaching undergraduate business courses in Valencia, Spain for the past three summers, the release states.
