CALLAWAY – Callaway commission is likely to approve an ordinance waiving transportation impact fees at its meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Transportation impact fees are applied to permits for building projects to pay for road projects intended to assist with city growth. The commission has previously expressed that the fees would hinder future growth because of the added cost to construction.
The commission will also look to apply notes from a recent utility billing audit to streamline services in the city. The commission will review a new request for proposal for the meter replacement for the city. The commission budgeted $1.8 million for the project.
Based on the recent utility billing audit, the commission will consider changes to streamline utility billing process.
Also, the commission will change the meeting schedule to have one meeting each in November and December.
