PARKER — The Parker City Council will discuss street paving projects at its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Mayor Rich Musgrave has previously mentioned plans to repave sections of Berney Avenue, Park Street, Meadow Street, Logan Court, Park Boulevard, Collins Drive, Hickory Street, Grimes Street, Arrow Street Lake Drive and High Street. The city may also try to use contracts completed for Panama City for similar work in an effort to save costs in the request for proposal process.
The city also is looking to change its bank. Hancock Bank used to have a branch in Parker but now the closest location is at State 77 and 23rd Street in Panama City. People’s South is moving into the former Hancock Bank location and there also is a Trustmark Bank branch in Parker the city might consider.
