PANAMA CITY — The Bay High School Choirs invite the community to join them for Dinner and a Parade and support their trip to Carnegie Hall in New York City next year.
For $25, ticket holders enjoy a full meal and reserved seating at Studio 415 on Harrison Avenue during the Jaycees Christmas Parade Dec. 6. The choir will serve as this year’s Blanket Brigade, helping the Jaycees collect donations toward the Jaycees’ annual Children’s Christmas Shopping Tour.
The choirs were invited to participate in the New York Invitational Music Festival and must raise $90,000 to cover travel costs for 60 students, staff and chaperones. This marks the first time a Bay District Schools choir director will have the opportunity to conduct Bay County students onstage at Carnegie Hall.
Other upcoming fundraising events include Coffee House, a wrestling match and ongoing sales. Individuals and businesses who would like to contribute are invited to participate in their Patron of the Arts sponsorship program.
