PANAMA CITY BEACH — Two people were rushed to the hospital Thursday after a van and scooter wreck erupted in flames on Front Beach Road.
The condition of the drivers had not been released as of Thursday evening. Details were scarce as Panama City Beach Police Department investigated the cause of the wreck.

The accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the intersection of Richard Jackson Boulevard and Front Beach Road. Flames roared from the collision site as fire crews arrived. A van was on top of a scooter as police secured the scene and firefighters doused the fire.
EMS crews rushed two people involved in the wreck to a local hospital. Both sustained injuries, but the degree of those injuries had not been released as of press time Thursday.
