BAY COUNTY
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has temporarily closed area 1212 Section 1 of East Bay and area 0822 in the West Bay Shellfish Harvest Area for the harvest of oysters, clams and mussels. Closures are based on a change in conditions specifically required under the management plan. The public will be notified when the area is opened again.
In this context, “shellfish” does not include scallops, shrimp or crabs.
